Project Objectives:
Establishment of a small-scale industry to transform plastic
waste into locally useful items such as chairs, benches, and
tiles. A shredder, mixer, and extrusion machine are currently
being installed.
Equipping the locals to convert local plastic waste into useful
products, this model has the potential to be replicated across
many villages in India facing similar challenges.
Collaborating with schools, religious influencers, and
authorities to strengthen the value chain, with a focus on
education and behavior change as key elements for
sustainability.
Goal: Establishing a stable and sustainable model for plastic waste management and local upcycling, to reduce
negative impact on the Jawaiecology and biodiversity and creation of replicable low-cost local model
Save JawaiWildlife
UPDATE TILL JAN-24: 2500 kilograms of plastic waste from 6-7 villages and nearby jungle
areas in the last month.
Items made from Recycled Plastic
