Challenges Faced Shiraz Dadar Head of ICT Department M.P. Shah Hospital Requirements At The Hospital High demand for beds, especially critical care beds Required quicker turn-around-time to prepare a bed for the next patient Remote monitoring and supervision by managers Restricted movement of staff in the wards

Work Flow Shiraz Dadar Head of ICT Department M.P. Shah Hospital Piecing The Systems Together On the Cisco Telephone System, we created unique dialing codes for each bed to signal the start time and end time that it took to prepare a bed We used the Call Monitoring system ( Variphy ) to monitor the dialing codes that were used for each bed that was prepared and to send out alerts via email We used our Email system (MS Outlook) as a communication method to send out alerts to supervisors and managers We used advanced MS Excel VBA to fetch details from the emails and present it on near-real time dashboards for supervisors and managers to monitor the turn-around-time and take informed decisions
