1. MAGNESIUM SULFATE

3. Shock 2 nd or 3 rd degree heart block CONTRAINDICATIONS

4. Blocks neuromuscular transmission CNS depressant Produces peripheral vasodilation ACTIONS

5. 1 – 4 GRAMS IV DOSAGE

6. Initial Assessment and Airway Management Cardiac Monitor Establish IV of LR or NS TKO PROCEDURE

7. 4 grams mixed with 50 mL of D5W given over 5 – 10 min Repeat with 2 grams in 50 mL of D5W over 5 - 10 min ECLAMPSIA

8. 2 grams in 50 mL of D5W infused over 1 -2 minutes IV If rhythm converts, start maintenance infusion 1 gram in 250 mL D5W at 30 – 60 gtt /min TORSADES DE POINTES

9. 2 gram mixed with 50 mL of D5W over 10 -15 minutes ASTHMA
