thatcodeforcellsurfaceproteinsessentialfortheacquired
immunesystemtorecognizeforeignmoleculesinvertebrates,
whichinturndetermineshistocompatibility.
•OnceaT-cellresponsehasbeeninitiated,macrophagesandB
cellsthathavetakenupspecificantigenalsobecometargets
forarmedeffectorTcells.
•Peptidesfromintracellularpathogensthatmultiplyinthe
cytoplasmarecarriedtothecellsurfacebyMHCclassIand
MHCclassIIandCD4Tcellsrespectively.

ofeffectorTcells,calledTH1andTH2.
•Pathogensthataccumulateinlargenumbers
insidemacrophageanddendriticcellvesicles
tendtostimulatethedifferentiationofTH1

stimulatetheproductionofTH2cells.
