Make an Internet Start Page using Protopage

10. Step 1:
Get started by registering and naming
your page. Go to
http://www.protopage.com/

12. Once you have done that you’ll be faced
with a page full of example widgets.

14. Step 2:
Add a title and start deleting the
‘widgets’ (blocks) that you don’t want

16. Step 3:
Add your own background

17. Step 4:
Now start adding your own widgets

19. a) Start with a HTML sticky note widget
for notes

20. b) Use web-widget to embed a video
from YouTube

21. I used a video from
http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=protopages

22. How to add a video
Locate the video on YouTube, click on Share and get the embed
code. Paste it here, name the video and save

23. •Edit names
•Edit the size
•Add as many bookmarks as you like
•Place them where you want them on
the page
c) Add bookmarks. Add names of sites and
then add URLs to them

24. A bookmark widget starts off with 10
entries per widget but increases

25. d) Add a photo using the photo widget

26. e) Add a map location

27. f) Add a web page

28. g) Add calendars, clocks, weather, ToDo lists,
Twitter feeds etc.
