MPL Beach 4 The beach is highly characterized by its magnificent white beach with clear blue waters and almost powdery white sand.

MANGROVE FOREST MPL’s mangrove area covers approximately of 24 hectares which mostly consists of Rhizophora, Aviccenia and Sonneratia species NATURAL RESOURCES

Coral Reefs About 54 hectares of hard coral reefs present in MPL. Coral reefs serves as breeding ground for a variety of marine life and other fish species

Seagrass Bed Seagrasses are marine (saltwater) plants found in shallow coastal waters and in the brackish waters of estuaries. Seagrasses are flowering plants with stems and long green, grass-like leaves. MPL’s sea grass bed covers about 16 hectares and roughly consists mostly of Thalassia hemprechii , Halodule uninervis and Enhalus acoroides species.

Forest over Limestone A forest is a large and complex ecosystem and hence has greater species diversity. The forest ecosystem of MPL comprises of dipterocarps, tree ferns and soft and hard wood species and limestone as coil composition.

19 Beaches are characterized with white fine sands with clear blue waters. BINAGASBASAN BEACH Bingasbasan beach is an open beach tourist spot located at 13° 56’ 35” N 123° 34’ 13” E. it is characterized with white fine sands with clear blue waters where fishing and swimming activities are commonly experienced as recreational activities. Coconut trees that abundantly grow on the island along with other green species forest which serves as home to bird and bats species, add a picturesque view of the majestic beauty of the beach that is perfect for summer escapade.

32 IPIL BEACH Ipil beach is composed of two connected white sand beaches: Small Ipil and Big Ipil . According to some residents from Binagasbasan , the name of the beach is taken from the tree ‘ Ipil ” which is abundant back then. Ipil beach is highly characterized by its long white shoreline and its potential spot for surfing and fishing activity.
