INTRODUCTION Revision History
REVISION HISTORY
‘Tis manual isa ving document, Period manual revisions are published to document product
Improvements and changes. This practice ensures the manual has the most curent information,
As manual revisions become necessary, individual pages are prepared and sent to those who need the
information. I a page or number of pages shouldbe replaced, the replacement information's sent along
witha revised Revision Control Table, Discard the older, obsolete information,
Attimes, the revision involves inserting adalional pages in one or more sections. Replace the Revision
Control Table and inser the new pages.
This method of revision contol represents the most costellectve solution to providing current, updated

85 diesel fuels must meet certain specifications
‘The biodiesel fuels must meet he minimum
specications forthe country in which they are
used
+ In Europe, biodiesel fuels must comply withthe
European Standard EN14214,
+ In the United States, biodiesel fuels must comply
‘wth the American Standard ASTM 0.6751
Biodiesel should be purchased only trom
recognized and authorized diesel fel supp.
Precautions and concerns regarding the use of
bio-fuels:
+ Biodiesel fuels have a higher content of
meihykesters, which may deteriorate certain
meta, rubber and plastic components ofthe fuel
system. The customer andior boat builder are
responsible to very the usage of biodiesel
‘compatible components onthe vesso uel supply
and tur systems.
+ Froo watorin biodiesel may result in plugging of
{el titers and increased bacterial growth,
+ High viscosity at low temperatures may result in
{uo delivery problems, injection pump seizures,
and poor injection nozzle spray atomization.
+ Biodiosel may have adverse elacis on some
lastomers (Seal materials) and may result in tuo
leakage and dation a ho engine lubvcating ol
+ Even biodiesel uels that comply with a suitable
standard as delivered, ll require addtional caro
“and attention to maintain the qualiy ofthe fue in
the equipment or other ol tanks. Its important
tomaintain a supply o clean, fresh fuel. Regular
ttushing ofthe fuel system, andlor fuel storage
containers, may be necessary.
+ The use of biodiesel als that d not compl with
the standards as agreod to by the diesel engine
manufacturer and the diese uel injection
‘equipment manulacturer, or biodiesel lues that
have degraded as per the precautions and
concerns above, may affect the warranty
‘coverage of your engine.
