The relevance of king's speech in the present times The speech of Martin Luther King Jr. is very relevant in this times especially in our society. Many people are racist towards other people. As mentioned in the speech, the African American people are discriminated in their society. In this modern world, many people experience discriminations not only by their race but also in many other factors, examples are their age, gender, and even their body composition. This discrimination sometimes lead to negative interpretation for the people who are discriminated. The speech serves as a powerful reminder of the ongoing struggle for civil rights and social justice, inspiring continued action towards a more equitable society.
1. Urgency of Now: King emphasizes the immediate need for action against racial injustice, stating that waiting for a more convenient time will only prolong suffering. He argues that civil rights must be addressed urgently. 2. Power of Nonviolent Protest: King advocates for nonviolent resistance as a means to achieve civil rights, believing that love and peaceful actions are more effective than violence, leading to reconciliation and understanding. Actions as a leader To promote inclusivity in a school event, I would implement a “Pay What You Can” model, allowing students to contribute based on their financial situation. Additionally, I would seek sponsorships from local businesses to support students who need financial assistance, ensuring all can participate.
Making We need to be fair for both underprivileged community and business that may need to be relocated. By that particular statement, I should first conduct a meeting for both parties and discuss to them how can they properly get their rightful place without being unfair. My decision is not for my own sake but for the needs of the people out there, we need a park for us to go for adventure and tour at the same time, we need businesses for us to buy and to support them. I need to be fair for the community to be good. I will not be a biased person who only favors for what I want, I want to be fair for all and it is for sake of all the people in the first place which is the priority. Decision
A step towards a better community To reflect King’s message in an inclusivity campaign, I would organize a “Unity Day” celebration. This event would feature cultural presentations and workshops to celebrate diversity and foster a sense of belonging among students, promoting unity and hope for a more inclusive school community.
