TABLE OF CONTENTSDear Students and stakeholders,
As we reflect on the recent period, I am
pleased to share the remarkable
achievements and milestones of our
department. We have been actively
preparing for NBA accreditation,
focusing on strengthening our academic
processes and laboratory facilities to
meet national-level standards.
I am proud to announce that our
department has received advanced
machines, interactive boards, and the
latest licensed version of SolidWorks
software through Industry support from
various industries. These additions are
significantly enhancing practical
learning and fostering industry-relevant
skills among our students.
I appreciate the enthusiasm and
participation of our students in
academic, co-curricular, and
extracurricular activities. I also thank
our valued stakeholders, including
alumni and industry partners, for their
continuous support and guidance.
Together, we are shaping a stronger

Outcomes Assessment
Driven OBE defines exactly
what students should
know, do, or understand
by the end of a course. OBE uses various
assessment methods like
projects semester exams,
VIVA, Micro Projects and
practical tasks, not just
final exams. Student
Centered In OBE, students take an
active role in their learning.
They are engaged and
involved, working toward
clear objectives. Holistic
Development OBE focuses on all
aspects of learning:
Cognitive
Affective
Psychomotor The curriculum, teaching methods, and assessments are all designed backward
from these desired outcomes to ensure students meet the established goals.
OUTCOME BASED EDUCATION (OBE)Outcome Based Education (OBE) Outcome-based education (OBE) is a student-centered educational model that focuses on clearly
defined student outcomes, emphasizing what students should know and be able to do by the end of a
course or program. 3

The diploma program in mechanical engineering will prepare
students for successful careers in the areas of design,
maintenance, production and quality control.
The diploma program in mechanical engineering will prepare
students to lead organizations with honesty and ethical values,
utilizing sustainable technological advancements for the benefit of
society.
The diploma program in mechanical engineering will prepare
students to continue lifelong learning through higher education
and professional development in engineering field. Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to
solve the engineering problems. Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or
processes to meet specified needs. Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices. Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage
projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities. Select the right platforms where
your audience is most active.
Program Educational Objectives
PEOs are broad statements that describe the career and professional accomplishments in three to five
years after graduation that program is preparing to achieve. Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.
PO7: Life-long learning:
PSO2:Utilization and maintenance : Utilize and maintain mechanical machine tools.
POs (Program Outcomes): Broad statements outlining general knowledge, skills, and attitudes expected
of graduates from a degree program.
PSOs (Program Specific Outcomes): Specific statements defining unique competencies and skills
expected of graduates from a particular program or specialization.
PO1: Basic and Discipline specific knowledge:
PO3: Design/ development of solutions:
PO2: Problem analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
PO5: Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment:Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and
measurements.
PO4: Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing:
PO6: Project Management:Implement renewable energy technologies, energy conservation methods, and sustainable
practices in mechanical engineering applications. Apply principles of mechanical engineering to design and manufacture components using CAD

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

Effective Teaching Learning Process
Due to growing technological advancements education system has made lots of innovativeness in
Teaching-Learning system and prepares the present day engineers to compete globally with new
challenges. In the traditional system of education, teachers put full attention on their teaching but
unable to concentrate on students requirements.EFFECTIVE TEACHING LEARNING PROCESS THROUGH OBE
Course Outcomes (COs)
COs are what a students can demonstrate, perform or apply after completing a course.
COs defines technical skills in students which is measured by various assessment tools.
A Course outcomes addresses a subset of POs and PSOs.
The transition from 3’R’s (Reading, Writing, Arithmetic ", R eading, w R iting, and a R ithmetic)
to 4’C’ (Creativity, Critical thinking, Communication & Collaboration) makes significant
change in the course attainment of the students. 6

OBE Philosophy PDCA MODEL IN OUTCOME BASED EDUCATION (OBE)
The PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) model in Outcomes-Base d Education (OBE) is a framework for
continuous quality improvement. Here's a concise overview:
1. Plan: Define learning outcomes, analyze current performance, and develop a strategy.
2. Do: Implement the plan, gather data on student progress.
3. Assess (Check): Evaluate results, identify successes and shortcomings.
4. Improve (Act): Standardize successful changes, make improvements, and start the cycle again.
This OBE-PDCA model ensures ongoing improvement in teaching and learning processes, aligning with
student learning outcomes.
