INDUSTRIAL AGE
INTRODUCTION The start of more technology being made to help increase productivity rates, and decrease the need for manual labor.

TYPEWRITER DURING INDUSTRIAL AGE
IMPORTANCE Back then people had no way to get messages around quickly. People would have to get a mailman on a horse ride to across states just to deliver a single mail. With the invention of the typewriter, people save time by not having to ride across the country to deliver their messages. This was during a time near the manifest destiny so people moving west needed to talk to their families east. The typewriter also opened up ideas for the telephone and other mobile communication devices.
NEWSPAPER

James Hargreaves The Spinning Jenny
James Watt Invention of steam engine
PHOTOGRAPHY

THE CAMERA
How it works? For taking photographs by letting light from an image fall briefly on a sensitized film, usually by means of a lens- and- shutter mechanism. It provides pictures for later use.
Before the Camera The only way to document or save moments in life was through writing, drawing and talking about it.
Camera Obscura Made in Paris, France. This was the first cameras looked like.
TELEGRAPH
What is a Telegraph? A machine. was first created in 1837 “The Morse Telegraph”
Where was it is used? The first message was from Washington D.C to Baltimore.
How did our world changed? Messages could efficiently be sent across the nation. People no longer had to go a long dangerous trips to send important messages to people all over the country. Communication was much faster efficient, easier and more reliable. Telegraphs made a convenient way to communicate back and forth.
PRINTING PRESS
It was invented to be more efficient and faster than making manual copies.
How has printing changed? Before the printing press, documents were kept by hand, on regular paper. With the original printing press, there was only block printing. Modern Printing is now quicker and more efficient.
MOTION PICTURE
THREE MAIN INVENTORS Thomas Edison William Dickson - They created Kinetograph and Kinetoscope .
Eadweard Maybridge - He made a simulation of animals with his zoopraxiscope
