(medical explanation) case study of the story of anneleise michel aka emily rose, died at young age of 24, was considered to be possessed by demon, actually thought to have multiple psychotic disorders which ultimately cause her death.FAMILY HAD A VERY STRONG BELIEF IN RELIGION,
AND SHE KNEW ABOUT LATIN AND ROMAN (LANGUAGE & CULTURE)
Holy objects like CROSS, HOLY WATER drive her mad.
She heard voices:- that she is damned, and she will rot in hell.
And she began to see faces of demons on people and things around her.
she told she saw colors, and experienced Euphoria, heard sounds and had a grimacing face.
She used to do disturbing things,
Peeing on the floor and then licking it
Tearing her clothes
Eating insects (flies, cockroach)
Barking
Screaming through walls
Scratching the floor
Arguing in different demonic voices
Priest claimed (father ARNOLD RENZ, Pastor ERNST ALT)
that she was possessed by 6 demons:

LUCIFER (voice:- lucifer, devil in the flesh)
JUDAS ISCARIOT
NERO
CAIN
HITLER (voice:- people are stupid pigs)
VALENTINE FLEISCHMAN (DISGRACED FRANKISH PRIEST)
AND PROBABLY A FEW MORE (BELIAL),

She suffered from torn ligaments due to genuflexion due to falling on one or both knees.
Had multiple episodes of vomiting, she refused to eat, bcoz Annaleise said she wasn’t allowed to, thus was Anorexic and weighted around 30Kg.

LATER ON SHE WAS COMPLETELY OKAY. SHE WAS VERY WELL IN ACADEMIC AND SHE KNEW ABOUT LATIN AND ROMAN (LANGUAGE & CULTURE)

3. From thursday , AUG 1, 1968 she had similar episodes. And had her first visit to doctor, where he said Annaleise brain’s is completely healthy. And in 1969, she experienced her first epileptic attack in high school and on FEB 1970, she had third event and suffered from lung infection (pneumonia) and spent months in hospital and again had a blackout there, this time it was different, she told she saw colors, and experienced Euphoria, heard sounds and had a grimacing face . Later on she was diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy , as the frequency of seizure increased (no lesion was found in brain) and was put on medication (CBZ), but her condition got worsen. Parents noted that she was being depressed and considering suicide. And by mid 1973 her condition began to get even worse , she experienced hallucinations while praying and she was obsessed with the idea that devil was inside her , and then her parents stopped visiting the doctors One day Annaliese mother’s saw annaleise staring at virgin MARY portrait , and her eye was completely black (she claims). After which her parents started to consult priests as black eyes Were thought to be sign of being possesed . This was the time when her symptoms (disturbing) kicked into overdrive. In autopsy: Black eyes Broken teeth Broken ligaments Bruises on hand/ arms and wrist Numerous wound Report tells that she died of severe dehydration and malnourishment It was thought that all the demonic figure that is thought to be within annaleisewas due to religion in her obsession with christian teachings , there were later theories that Annaleise chose these figure intentionally. After 2 year her body was exhumed bcoz her parent thought her body was still intact. Priest claimed that the exorcism was successful, bcoz she died right after the demons were driven out of her. Psychiatrist filed a case against them later. In 2005, her mother made a statement : “God told us to exorcise my daughter demons, I don’t regret her death”

7. DIAGNOSIS Epilepsy combined with her religion belief made it appear that she was possesed . (question must be asked why 67 exorcism was needed, was there some missing ingredient constantly missing or something was constantly added to worsen her condition.) Can be a case of Geschwind syndrome + Epilepsy May have had schizophrenia,

8. Also she had depression, so its better to say schizoaffective disorder instead of schizophrenia . There were events which may force to think that she had dissociative identity disorder. and very important thing to notice that Annaleise condition even got worsen later in exorcism which may depict that later in the phase there was SHARED PSYCHOTIC DISORDER (Foley ado), bcoz the Exorcist that was practicing was claim to be gullible and psychic , which may tell the reason why 67 exorcism were needed, it may be that, this exorcism made Alt (priest to belive to have sense of excitement and purpose) Primary was Alt and secondary was Annaleise , and this made sense bcoz in early part of exorcism Annaleise was comparatibly better, and later as delusional thoughts of Alt was transmitted to Annaleise things got worse. In the END, none of the disorder explains why she should have been starved to death. final diagnosis is still a mystery , it could be one disorder or progression from one to development of other types of psychotic disorder later in her life that may tell the horrific death of this innocent girl.
