According to resolution EM/RC63/R.6 , Member States agreed to grouping countries of the Region into three subregional groups. Established in May 2022 according to decision EB151(2) Composed of 14 members, two from each region, in addition to the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Executive Board. The term of the current members of the Committee from the Eastern Mediterranean Region, Morocco and Yemen, will end in May 2025. The Executive Board at its 156th session will be requested to indicate whether or not to maintain the Standing Committee.
