🩺 Nursing Management During Acute Attack Keep patient in bed, quiet room , head slightly elevated Assist during ambulation to prevent falls Administer anti-vertigo & antiemetic drugs as prescribed Cool cloth, dim light for comfort Monitor fluid and electrolyte balance (due to vomiting) Between Attacks Teach diet modification (low salt) Advise avoid caffeine, alcohol, smoking Encourage regular sleep Provide psychological support Educate to rise slowly from bed Encourage regular follow-up audiometry
🧠 Complications Progressive permanent hearing loss Drop attacks (sudden loss of balance) Psychological distress (anxiety, depression) Injury due to sudden vertigo
