6. DESIGN DEPARTMENT There are two sections in Design department: Machine shop development section. Foundry development section. Machine shop development section. Designing and drafting of required tools and SPMs. Software used: Auto CAD-9. 2) Foundry development section. Designing and drafting of patterns, fixtures, etc. Software used: UNIGRAPHICS – NX7.

7. MACHIN SHOP Machining of different cylinder blocks and cylinder heads of different companies. Some reference holes & surfaces are determined. Machine shop having following main machining lines of company: 1. Tata line. 2. Mahindra line.   3. Head line.

9. INSPECTION INSPECTION ROOM Company follow the ON LINE INSPETION METHOD . Parts are inspected during the process. Old type marking and inspection tools are also used. Inspection is the act of checking the acceptability of the casting. Various methods are: Visual Inspection Dimensional inspection Non- destructive testing

10. QUALITY CONTROL Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) : For measuring Physical, Geometrical characteristic of a part. Measurements are defined by probe Software: Virtual Data Measurement Interface System. Probe : Ruby. 16. To avoid potential hazards, observe these precautions operating or servicing this machine- operator must :- Wear safety glasses . Wear gloves when handling saw band. Not wear gloves when operating machine. Close band wheel covers before starting the machine Keep hands away from moving saw band and wise area. Close doors , replace panel cover & safety guards before operating machine. Avoid contact with coolant especially guard your eyes. Stop machine before reaching into cutting area . Bring adjustable saw guide and guard as close as to work as possible. Remove loose items from work area. Remove cut off pieces carefully. Make safety the rule and follow safe shop practices.
