3. Abstract This System (App) I s Aimed At Developing A Mess Management. This System Is Used For Management Of Mess Operation In Educational Institutions, Hostels And Other Similar Things . This System Is Being Developed For Management Of Various Mess Task . In Mess It Is Very Difficult To Keep Data And Records Of Students And Also It Is Very Hard To Maintain List Of Students Who Paid Bills . Overall It Is Very Hectic And Time Consuming Process To Keep This Data On Paper. It Would Be Possible To Do The Same Work Within A Short Period Of Time And Without Using Much Efforts And Manpower If There Existed A Software For The Same. Thus, There Arises A Need To Create A Software For The Same. Such A Software Would Make The Entire Mess Related Management An Automated System.This Is What Our System Does .This System Provide Many Functionalities To Mess Management Related Task .This System Help User To Maintain Customer Data Digitally. It Also Provide User Option To Distinguish Between Paid And Unpaid Customer Bill. This System Allow User To Send Reminder To Customer About Their Unpaid Bill. In This Way It Eliminates Paper Work .Thus , System Very Useful For Any Mess Management. 1

4. INTRODUC T ION The Project Entitled " Mess Management Android Application " Is Software Developed To Manage All The Financial Related Matters For A Mess. Using “Mess Management” Android App, You Can Manage All Student’s Information Effectively. Further, You Can Track Down Paid And Unpaid Invoice And Send Payment Reminders To The Customers Directly From App. The Students Can Login Into The App & Check Daily Menu’s, They Can Raise Their Issues In Complaint Box As Well As They Can Suggest For Betterment Of Any Kind Related To The Mess 2

5. Problem Statement In Many Hostel, Institutes & Organizations, Entire Mess Management And Billing Calculations Are Done Manually Till Date. It Is Very Time Consuming And Increases The Chances Of Performing Calculation Mistakes. As Well As When The Whole Work Is Done Manually (Notebook/Register) If That Thing Is Lost It M ay Lead To A Serious Issue It Would Be Possible To Do The Same Work Within A Short Period Of Time And Without Using Much Efforts And Manpower If There Existed A Software For The Same. Thus, There Arises A Need To Create A Software For The Same. Such A Software Would Make The Entire Mess Related Management An Automated System. 3

6. SOLUTION ! Mess Management Android App Is Designed To Assist Managers In Keeping Track Of Customer Information And Billing. This Type Of System Enables Managers To Input And Store Customer Information, Including Billing Details, Making It Easier To Manage Customer Accounts And Billing Records. Mess Management Application Is Engaged In Providing Up To Date Information About The Details Of Mess Boarders (Customers) And Payment Status. The Payment Status Is Provided Through SMS Service. It Includes Options Such As Adding, Deleting Information About The Students And Their Payments . Students/Mess Members Can See The Menu Displayed In The Application As Well As They Can Raise Their Issues In Complaint Box As Well As They Can Suggest For Betterment Of Any Kind Related To The Mess 4

Add /Delete/Update Customer: Using this module we can add /remove/update customer with their information like name, mobile no and college. View List: In this module we can see all customer list in scrollable vertical manner. Bills: In this module we can differentiate between paid and unpaid bills, providing functionality to send reminder message to unpaid students 7
