•National Center for Mental Health’s (NCMH) total
outpatient consultations--67.4% (n = 334) were 15 to 19-
year-olds
Depression
Anxiety
•6th leading cause of Disability-Adjusted Life Years
•Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is the most
common reported in the out-patient department of the
National Center for Mental Health (NCMH). 84.6% (n =
204) were in 15 to 19 year-olds
•68.5% females and 31.5% were males.

Several factors contribute to
Filipino adolescent mental health
including family dynamics,
societal pressures, academic
stress, and cultural stigma.
