About PollStar Monitors activity at Polling Stations during elections The quick response system captures feedback from the Presiding Officers / First Polling Officers (POs) and conveys the information to the chain of command 4/11/2019 56

Steps to be followed by Polling Officers Step 1: POs may download the app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store Step 2: Register with app by providing your mobile number ( Please note that your mobile number should be in the list of Polling Officers ). PO will receive an OTP. On entering the OTP you will be registered (During training PO will be given a printout of the list of questions with the timing allocated for submitting each report) Step 3: On pre-poll day and poll-day POs will receive questions on the app. POs can respond to the questions through the app Step 4: In case POs did not respond through the app or if they are not registered with the app, they will get a call from PollStar to collect their responses Step 5: In case the POs miss the call, they can call back the same number to deposit their answers. 4/11/2019 57

Step 4: PO receives a call from PollStar 4/11/2019 62 If PO does not respond through App, PO receives a call from PollStar after 5 minutes from event start time If PO is not registered with App, then PO receives a call at event start time itself. Step 5: Dial-in to deposit answer If the call is missed or an invalid entry is made, POs may dial the same number from which they received the call within 30 minutes. They can then listen to the question again and provide a response. DSNL also provides an optional generic Helpline number. A team of specialists shall offer support on PollStar . 4/11/2019 64
