Mini Blast Furnace (MBF) also known as the miniature size from a conventional normal blast furnace which is 10 times bigger than a mini blast furnace. The reason for this type of usage is that mini furnaces only required for small operations that do not involve much. The Mini Blast Furnace (MBF) is the most proven technology, as revealed by one recent global iron production data. While gas-based as well as coal-based DRI .

Mini Blast furnance Mini Blast Furnace of 262 Meter Cube working volume produces 3,00,000 tpa of hot metal. Use of sinter upto 70%, pulverised coal injection and oxygen enrichment system helps in achieving this. Sinter from sinter plant, calibrated lump ore, limestone, dolomite, quartzite, coke are charged into the MBF from top and hot air is passed from the bottom. Hot metal at required temperature is collected in the hearth at the bottom of the furnace and is tapped periodically and transferred to steel melting shop (EOF).

STOCK HOUSE The stock house is the area where the individual raw material types are stored and then measured out in the prescribed order for delivery to the top of the blast furnace. Stock house contaians 9 bunkers which are coal, coke, iron ore 1, 2, 3, magnese , limestone, quartz, dollomite . The purpose of the stock house is to deliver the correct quantities of coke, iron bearing materials, fluxing materials and additives to the furnace as expeditiously as possible to keep the blast furnace at top operating performance.
BLOWER HOUSE The air blower is the first equipment in the air blast system. It is located in the blower house and is meant for providing cold air blast to the hot blast stoves at the desired constant flow volume and pressure. Hence surge protection control is a very important control for a blast furnace air blower. Generally seven numbers of air blowers are provided for a blast furnace, while minimum six air blowers are operating depending upon blast furnace condition, where we obtain 1.5 to 1.6 Kg/cm2. The air flow is controlled by the Inlet Valve Control (IVC).
Pulverized coal injected Crystal Core are converted into powder form and then pass to furnance Pulverized Coal Injection is the key to optimizing the blast furnace process for high productivity as well as hot metal cost. Highest availability and minimized maintenance requirement. Pulverized coal injection is an essential instrument for modern blast furnace ironmaking . The benefits of reducing coke consumption and increasing production are recognized by the industry.
STOVE A blast furnace produces liquid iron by the reduction of ore burden with reducing gases. The reducing gases are produced by the reaction oxygen with coal and coke. There are mainly three stoves: 1.Running 2.heatup 3. stand by Air blast systems of modern high capacity blast furnaces operate with blast temperatures of up to 1350 deg C and blast pressures up to 5kg/sq. cm(g).
Gas cleaning plant Gas Cleaning Plant (GCP) Our Gas Cleaning Plants are designed to treat gases from various industrial processes, including Mini Blast Furnaces. These plants efficiently process hazardous, calorically rich gases having high carbon monoxide content, reducing dust content to below 5 mg/Nm3. Cleaning outlet gas of the mini blast furnance in steel industries. There are mainly 8 GCP’S in which 6 six are used,2 are stand by because of emergency purpose.
Pump house Pumps play a major role in Steel Industry for moving liquid flow around the Steel Plant/Mill Pumping stations, also called pumphouses , are public utility buildings containing pumps and equipment for pumping fluids from one place to another. The bearing housing, shaft and impeller assembly can be withdrawn from the volute for maintenance without disconnection of pipe work.
