Misconception A bout Yoga Yoga is a mystic discipline. Yoga is not meant for ordinary people One need to become Sanyasi for Practicing Yoga. One has necessarily to live in a forest, shun society and family, have to keep either long Hair or shaved totally, wear a special costume, etc. Yoga is only about physical postures Yoga is only for flexible people: Yoga is a religion: Yoga is only for women: Yoga is always calm and peaceful: H atha Yoga is done by forcefully. Yoga is only for young, fit people:

Misconception A bout Yoga Yoga is for ascetics and not for ordinary people. Misconceptions related to age, caste, low-high, healthy, unhealthy, women, men. Yoga is an occultism. Yoga is a philosophy. Yoga is a medicine. Yoga is an exercise. Yoga is for enhancing capabilities in specific areas such as education, sports, beauty, profession, military, police, politics. Yoga is only a physical, mental, and spiritual discipline. Yoga is only for alleviating physical and mental fatigue.

The Sources of Misconception 1) Hearsay, imaginary, fabricated things 2) Superficial ostentation or external ostentation. 3) Limited definitions. 4) Limited communal perspective. 5) Incomplete view of yoga. 6) Lack of discrimination between means and ends regarding Yoga. 7) Ignorance about the physical meaning of Yoga.

The Fact about Yoga 1. Yoga is for all ages, castes, ethnicity, healthy/unhealthy, male/female . 2. No special tools or equipment are necessary to do yoga, hence it is less costly and economic. 3 . Suitable for any place and season . 4. Low energy expenditure and Maximum benefits.
