Opportunities in Indonesia:
•Bonus demographic in Indonesia, larger % of productive ages
•Digital transactions in Indonesia reaching up US$316 million by 2030
•The most active digital start-up ecosystem in Southeast Asia
Challenges for Indonesia’s digital economy ecosystem:
•Lack of digital talents compared to other countries in the SEA region
•Indonesia’s objective to reach 9 million digital talents by 2030
•Hiring challenges due to the lack of qualified Tech candidates to fulfill workforce-ready talent
pipeline for digital platform company such as Traveloka
Thus our hope is that the MITRA 5.0 can address these challenges with a triple helix collaboration
between the Industry, the Academics, and the Governments.

FAQ3 of 5
© 2022 MITRA 5.0 • Batch 1 • Slide 12
Questions submitted by today’s participants:Answers from MITRA 5.0(which will be added to FAQ pageon MITRA 5.0 website)
I just curious with this program impact toward
Indonesia human capital development. Especially for all
Indonesian people with lower income.
This program will be relevant to Indonesian academics particularly those who want to actively take part in
and contributing to bridging the gaps between Tech industry with tertiary education syllabus. During
the program, the academics will experience the practical knowledge and examine real case studiesin
technology company, specifically in areas of product development from the data science, engineering, digital
product design, and product management perspectives.
We believe that if the lecturer participants are exposed to how the Tech industry like Traveloka works, they
could advocate to their University’s curriculum, syllabus, and learning & teaching approaches to
bridge the skill and knowledge gaps, therefor preparing the graduates to be more “workforce-ready”
to join the Tech industry. Hopefully by providing wider access to lecturers across Indonesia, any students
regardless of their income status could indirectly benefit from this program.
All sessions will be recorded and the video recording will be uploaded in the “Reflection and Videos” tab
section of this website on a weekly basis once the program starts for public consumption. Lecturers can
share the video links to their students / alumni as they see fit.
What documents are needed to join the program? Please refer to “How to Apply” tab on website.
Will there be certificate?Yes, for those who complete the whole program, participants will receive a Certification of Completion.
