ENHANCING SOFT SKILLS Middle Level Health Care Provider
AYUSHMAN BHARAT A comprehensive Primary health Care through health and wellness centres and health insurance Components Strengthening of subcentres and PHC Inclusion of mid level health care provider Capacity building Behaviour change communication Programme Management
HEALTH & WELLNESS CENTRES A high quality comprehensive people centred care with the principle being “time to care” to be no more than 30 minutes. Sub centres are transformed as health and wellness centres , health team consists of One Mid-level Health Provider , Multi-purpose workers – two female and one male Team of ASHAs at the norm of one per 1000.
SERVICES IN SUBCENTRES

DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES IN SUB CENTRES
DIAGNOSTIC SKILLS NEEDED 12 Rap i d c a rd t e s t (Di p s t i c k) – Pre g n a n c y Digital Hemoglobinometer – Hemoglobin Glucometer Rapid card test – Blood sugar – Mal a ria HIV Dengue Hepatitis B Syphilis Multi parameter urine strip (Dipstick) – Ph, Specific , gravity, ketone, protein, nitrite, glucose, bilirubin, l e u c o c y t e.
TEST FOR PREGNANCY 12 Rapid Card Test (Dipstick Method) A rapid chromatographic immunoassay Qualitative detection of human chorionic gonadotropin in urine The test utilizes a combination of antibodies including a monoclonal hcg antibody Positive specimens ( Urine containing hcg Antigen ) react with the specific antibody- hcg - colored conjugate to form a colored line
RAPID CARD TEST (DIP STICK) PROCEDURE : Place the test device on a clean and level surface.
RAPID CARD TEST (DIP STICK) INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
RAPID CARD TEST (DIP STICK) L IMITATIONS Only a qualitative test Very dilute urine specimens, may not contain representative levels of hCG. False negative results may occur Very low levels of hCG (less than 50 mIU/mL) cannot be detected A number of conditions other than pregnancy , including trophoblastic disease cause elevated levels of hCG
TEST FOR HEMOGLOBIN A palm-sized nanobioelectronic device with self- calibration sensors that takes <60 s for each hemoglobin estimation. Based on the principle of reflectance photometry. Capillary, venous, or arterial whole-blood sample can be used for the hemoglobin estimation The range of measurement is 0–25 mg/dl .
Cont… The Digital Hemoglobinometer Strips are thin contain chemical reagents. The strips vial has a unique code to be entered in the device each time the strip is loaded.
TEST FOR BLOOD SUGAR GLUCOMETER A palm sized electronic device with test strips containing chemicals that react with glucose in the drop of blood The size of the drop of blood needed varies from 0.3 to 1 μl. Time taken to read the strip range from 3 to 60 seconds
TEST FOR BLOOD GLUCOSE - PROCEDURE
RAPID DETECTION TEST- PROCEDURE
MULTI PARAMETER URINE TESTING Compare each reagent area to its corresponding color blocks on the color chart and read at the times specified. Proper read time is critical for optimal results. Obtain results by direct color chart comparison.
PREPARATION OF BLOOD SMEARS
