TIP 1 Drink plenty of water, keep yourself hydrated at all times. This will decrease the episodes of ulceration to a great extent.

TIP 2 Avoid hot and spicy food to not irritate your ulcer. Spicy food causes burning sensation and is very uncomfortable while eating

TIP 3 Apply local anesthetic gels on the ulcer 15 mins before eating your food, to be able to have your food in peace. The local anesthetic numbs the area of the ulcer which decreases the burning sensation to a great extent \. This also makes eating more comfortable. This is a palliative treatment.

TIP 4 Apply local antiseptic gel to avoid infection. The antibiotic content in these gels helps in locally reducing the chances of infection to an ulcer. Ulcer are like an open ground to receive infection.

TIP 5 Do warm saline gargles two to three times daily for faster recovery. These gargles are a homemade remedy to reduce inflammation in and around the ulcer. It acts as a soothing agent.

TIP 6 The ulcers will take maximum seven days to heal. If they are troubling you for more than two weeks contact your dentist immediately. Even larger size ulcers are an alarming sign.

LASER THERAPY Latest trend of healing mouth ulcers. Uses laser to attract more mast cells in the localized area which help in the healing. Increases the blood supply of the area to help in healing.
