1950’s 12 Angry Men (1957) Henry Fonda Drama Social problem: American law system Plot : There is a murder case, where a young man is accused to have stabbed his father. Then a 12-man jury is sent to begin deliberations about the case and if they find the young man guilty, his punishment will be death. The case is very simple, every proof is against the boy and his alibi is very week and unbelievable. So when it comes to a vote, 11 of them find him guilty, but there is one man who does not and wants to talk about the case a little bit. And then he starts to convience the others by doing nothing, but view the facts from a different angle, from where they don’t seem so obvious.

1970’s Godfather (1972) Trilogy Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Robert Duvall Drama Social problem: Mafia, gangsters, corruption Plot: The trilogy is about the Corleone family who are the leading mafia family in the 50’s in New York. The movie shows the life of Michael Corleone from the young shy man to being the head of his family, the godfather. It also includes the mafia wars between the the families and introducing us to a world, where corruption exists on a very high level, almost everything is controlled by the families.
