My Reflection on my Demo Teaching
What went well:
I felt confident in my subject matter and was able to convey the concept clearly. The students
were actively collaborated with their groups and my lesson plan was well-structured, and I
was able to stick to the timeline.
Areas of Improvement:
Time management was a bit challenging and I could have allocated more time for the group
activities. I could have asked more open-ended questions to encourage deeper thinking and
discussion and I would like to work on using more non-verbal cues to engage my pupils and
manage classroom behaviour positively.
What I learned:
The importance of flexibility in lesson planning, things doesn’t always go as planned and
being adaptable and dedication is the key. This mind set enables teachers to provide quality
education despite challenges.
Next steps:
Practice the art of questioning in order for the students to deepen their thinking and
reasoning.
Incorporate more technology or multimedia resources to enhance student engagement
Work on refining my time management skills to ensure the smoother flow of the lesson.
