6. TranslationInterpreting
Each event requires a professional whose skills suit its specifics. That is why at NAKOM we collaborate
with a variety of interpreters: interpreters specialised in medicine; high-standing interpreters, accredited
by the EU, with a thorough knowledge of protocols and etiquette; escort interpreters; and so on.
We also offer different types of interpreting based on the characteristics of the event:
• Simultaneous interpreting: best suited for meetings, conferences or seminars with several
languages where a fluid, immediate communication is required. This technique can be performed
in soundproofed booths or with an infoport system.
• Consecutive interpreting: this technique is ideal for meetings with only a few participants, such
as interviews, diplomatic negotiations or press conferences.
• Interpreting via teleconferencing: for remote meetings held using video- or teleconferencing
systems.
• Sworn interpreting: for a number of official events, such as court proceedings, statements, and
so on, as required.
• Escort interpreting: a service NAKOM created to provide linguistic assistance in specific cases.
It is a flexible service in which the interpreter accompanies the client to offer linguistic support
during short meetings.
