National immunization schedule All pregnant women, infant and children at specified time must be vaccinated against communicable disease so as to give protection against such diseases (chicken pox, diphteria, T.B . etc) All the countries have their own immunization schedule according to their local needs and feasiability.

While deciding immunization schedule following points must be taken into consideration:- Age of child Availability of effective vaccine Cost of vaccine Minimum number of visit to health center by mother and child.
