NSS
On September 24, 1969, the then Union
Education Minister Dr. V.K.R.V. Rao,
launched the NSS programme in 37
universities covering all States and
simultaneously requested the Chief
Ministers of States for their cooperation
and help.
Objectives

What does the giant wheel depicts
in NSS symbol? The giant wheels
portray the cycle of creation,
preservation and release, and
signify the movement in the life
across time and space.
•Blood Donation is the simplest easiest and
noblest deed.
•You save a human life by giving your blood.
•There is no substitute for Human Blood .
•Blood Donation is absolutely safe .
•Only disposable kits are being used for each
donor .
•It takes 15-20 minutes to donate blood .
•Graphic Era has donated 5000+ units (1 unit
saves 3 lives) of blood till now, which is a huge
number.
Blood Donation
•Adorned by the auspicious week of Navratra,
Team_NSS brought back JALSA 2.0, annual
fundraiser, with a blast of social service and
unlimited fun.
•Engaging games like gully cricket, chess, and
arm wrestling when the sun was up, and all-time
favorite movies like Kargil and jab we met when
the moon glistened.
•The funds raised were used for the students of
Govt. school, while the volunteers spent a whole
day with the students inspiring them to become
an outstanding youth and do lengths for the
environment and society.
Jalsa Navratri Fest
•NSS GEU had participated in Ecolympics, an inter-college
competition organized by Team Yuva. NSS_GEU, Swaragini,
Rangmanch, and Kavyanjali collaboratively presented a "short film"
program on September 19, 2023. This is the result that was
obtained.
•On September 18, 2023, NSS_GEU, Swaragini, Rangmanch, and
Kavyanjali collaboratively presented a 'chai pe charcha' program.
•Conducted a cleanliness drive at Pipleshwar temple, near Graphic
era university - one of the busiest hotspots near the college filled
with enthusiastic devotees and unfortunately their abandoned
belongings.
•Collected around 50kgs of waste material which was donated to
MRF Centre, Harrawala on 22nd September, 2023. Waste material
included old clothes, books, shoes, etc.
ECOLYMPICS
•Women Voter Awareness refers to initiatives and
efforts aimed at educating and encouraging women to
participate actively in the electoral process.
•Informational sessions were held to educate residents
about the voting process and the significance of their
votes.
•The event created a buzz in the community, with many
residents engaging in discussions about voting.
•The large number of volunteers highlighted the
community's commitment to increasing voter
awareness.
Voter Awareness Drive
•Create awareness among communities towards
sanitation and cleanliness.
• To bring about behavioral changes in the people
towards sanitation and hygiene.
• Motivating the communities for adopting a proper
sanitation model for better health and life.
Cleanliness Drive
•Donation drives are an excellent way for
anyone to support their favorite charity or
cause or the community at large.
•Using these drives, you can raise funds or
collect items like clothes, food, toys, or
anything else that helps an organization
achieve its mission.
•Donation drives can be done in person or
online.

Anti-Ragging Week in the CSIT block lasted seven
days, raising awareness against ragging.
Events included poster-making and speech
competitions promoting a safe campus.
Nukkad Nataks (street plays) were performed to
highlight the dangers of ragging.
Anti-Ragging Awareness
•Holistic Wellness Activities: The camp featured daily yoga
sessions aimed at promoting physical and mental well-
being, complemented by various sports activities to keep
participants engaged and fit.
•Outdoors Exploration & Social Engagement: Participants
enjoyed trekking through the scenic landscapes of
Bhimtal, while also participating in street plays and
awareness drives to educate local communities on social
issues.
•Environmental Initiatives: The camp emphasized eco-
consciousness through plantation drives and cleanliness
drives, fostering a sense of responsibility toward
preserving the environment.
