CONCLUSION National Urban Health Mission has been a vital government initiative towards addressing healthcare expenses for the urban population. It helps control the rising costs of healthcare services and the inconveniences of accessing them for the vulnerable population. As a result, balancing a city life and expenses can become more manageable when handling healthcare treatments. NUHM aims to improve the health status of the urban population in general, particularly the poor and other disadvantaged sections by facilitating equitable access to quality health care, through a revamped primary public health care system, targeted outreach services and involvement of the community and urban local bodies. 9
