About This Presentation

The natural frequency is the frequency at which a system would oscillate if there were no driving and no damping force. ... The phenomenon of driving a system with a frequency equal to its natural frequency is called resonance. A system being driven at its natural frequency is said to resonate.

Slide Content

Natural frequency: The natural frequency is the rate at which an object vibrate when it is not Disturbed by an outside force. Every body has its own natural frequency Resonance: When the driving frequency is equal to the one of the natural frequency of the system then the amplitude response of the system is maximum. This phenomenon is called Resonance.

Resonance: Resonance is an event which occurs when a system is provided wit h the external periodic force which has the natural frequency. The amplitude of the supplied force determ ine the amplitude of the Resonance. Natural frequency: Natural frequency is a property of a system. Every object has its own natural frequency.depend upon the: Shape, elasticity, length, material, and other facto rs of the objects.

Explanation of Resonances: Resonance is when the frequencies of forced vibration on an object matches the objects natural frequency causing a dramatic increase in amplitude.... .. some examples of Resonances including: A vibrating metal rod, this force the air column inside the rod to vibrate at the same frequencies.

Examples of R e s o n a n c e s : These are the following exam ples of Resonance s:
