Fundamental Arms and Feet Positions
1 st Position Raise arms to a circle infront of the chest. Feet together.
2 nd Position Open up arms sideward, raise below shoulder level with a gracefull curve Feet are apart sideways at shoulder width.
3 rd Position Raise one arm overhead while the other arm remains in 2 nd position. The heel of one foot is placed near the in-step of the other foot.
4 th Position Raise one arm in front of chest in a half circle, while one arm remains overhead. Bring one foot in front of the other foot to walk strike.
5 th Position Raise both arms overhead in graceful curve. Bring the heel of one foot to touch the toe of the others.
Cariñosa It is courtship dance which portrays how a man and woman show their interest for each other. The word Cariñosa means “affectionate” or “lovable” in Spanish.
