1/10/2019 2 An Information Resource for Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Ever thought what it means to parent a special needs child? Every Parent plans to raise their child for 18 years, set them free for 30 years and hope they come back to help them in final years of their own life! While a special needs parent plan to raise their child for 65 years and while doing so also has to prepare for other 20 years or so after they themselves are long gone

An Information Resource for Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Diagnosis Therapies School Inclusion Social Inclusion What after us??? Isolation Social Stigma Lack of support As per WHO 2004 Report, there are 31 million people with intellectual disabilities in India Disability impacts not just the person, but the entire family! Hence, there are 93 million people who are looking for support ! Families of children with disabilities need information at every stage to enable their child . However, there is no focusing on the families and there is no place for families to access all the necessary information!

An Information Resource for Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Current Scenario: With no support whatsoever, families run pillar to post and are not able to access resources at the right time to help their child attain his/her true potential ?

An Information Resource for Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Nayi Disha aims to be a fill this huge void by being an ENABLER and connecting families with various resources Our solution is an online one stop information platform for millions of families in India!
