secondaryschoolspersonnel,willadministerthe
NationalCareerAssessmentExamination(NCAE)
inSchoolYear2024-2025withinafive-day
testingwindow,twoweeksaftertheopeningof
classespursuanttoDepEdOrder(DO)No.55,s.
2016,titledPolicyGuidelinesontheNational
AssessmentofStudentLearningfortheKto12
BasicEducationProgram.

GUIDELINES ON THEADMINISTRATION OF THENATIONAL

2.TheNCAEshallbeadministeredin two
consecutivedayswithinthetesting
windowthroughapaper-basedmodality.It
willbeadministeredtoallGrade10learners
whoarecurrentlyenrolledinpublicschools
andprivateschoolswithagovernmentpermit
orrecognition.
3.Thetestingdates,withinthetestingwindow,
shallbedeterminedbytheSDOsin
coordinationwiththeregionaloffice(RO).

individuallearnersfortheirfutureeducational

Vocational-Livelihood,Sports,andArtsand
Design.TheresultsoftheNCAEareutilizedto
supportthenationalframeworkoncareer
guidanceandforentryassessmenttothe
specificSHStracks/strandsinallpublicand
privateschools.

5.TheNCAEassessmentcoversthefollowingdomains:
GeneralScholasticAptitude(GSA),AcademicTrack,and
OccupationalInterestInventory(OII).TheGSAcovers
ReadingComprehension,MathematicalAbility,Verbal
Ability,ScientificAbility,andLogicalReasoningAbility.
TheAptitudeforSHSTrackscontains:(a)Academic,which
includesHumanitiesandSocialSciences(HUMSS);
Science,Technology,Engineering,andMathematics
(STEM);andAccountancy,Business,andManagement
(ABM);(b)Technical-Vocational-Livelihood(TVL);(c)
Sports;and(d)ArtsandDesign.TheOIIisan
inventory/checklistofoccupationalinterestswhich
providesanassessmentoninclinations/preferencesfor
comprehensivecareerguidance.

6.Testaccommodationsshallbegiventolearnerswith
disabilities(LWDs)whowillbeparticipatinginthe
assessmentactivityfollowingtheprovisionstatedin
Section9ofDO55,s.2016.
7.BEAwillmanagethenationalimplementationofthe
NCAEwiththeassistanceoftheRosandSDOs.BEA
willconductavirtualorientationforRegionalTesting
Coordinators,DivisionTestingCoordinators,andSDO
PrivateSchoolSupervisorsonthetestadministration
guidelinesanddetailsfortheProgramSupportFunds.
