National Board of Examinations – NBE has released notification for NEET PG 2019. NEET PG is
the only official entrance exam in India for admission into Medical PG courses like, MD/MS/PG
diploma courses. 50% of Medical PG seats of Medical Educational Institutions of Central Govt.,
Universities established by an Act of Parliament, Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions,
Deemed Universities, Medical Institutions and universities established under act of state
governments and Private Medical Colleges are reserved for recruitment under NEET PG.
NEET is mandatory even for foreign nationals seeking admission in medical courses in
India
Seats of Medical institutions under central government are filled by Directorate of
Health services, Ministry of Health and family welfare, Govt of India.
Seats of Medical institutions under state governments are to be filled by respective
state governments designated authority.
However, the following Medical colleges are exempted from NEET PG. They conduct
their own entrance exam for Medical PG courses in their respective colleges.
1. AIIMS, New Delhi and other AIIMS
2. PGIMER, Chandigarh
3. JIPMER, Puducherry
4. NIMHANS, Bengaluru
5. Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum
NEET PG Eligibility
The candidate should be completed MBBS degree.
The candidate should possess provisional MBBS certificate or MBBS Degree
The candidate should have completed one year of internship or should be completed by
31st March, 2019
Eligibility for NEET PG in Detail
NEET PG Examination Fee
Application forms should be submitted only through online mode, offline / printed copy
by post are not allowed.
NEET-PG 2019 Exam fee Rs. 2750/- (For SC/ST/PWD (PH) candidates) Rs. 3750/- (For
General/OBC candidates)
The prescribed exam fee should be remitted through payment gateway provided using a
Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by banks in India or through Internet Banking.
Fees shall neither be refunded nor carried forward if the application for NEET PG 2019 is
rejected or Candidates remaining absent from the examination or declared ineligible.
NEET Exam syllabus for PG entrance
The syllabus for NEET-PG shall comprise of subjects/knowledge areas as per the Graduate
Medical Education Regulations issued by Medical Council of India with prior approval of
Government of India. NEET PG 2019 Syllabus consists of three sections –
Pre-clinical,

NEET Exam Pattern for PG entrance
NEET-PG shall be a multiple choice questions exam delivered on computer based
platform (CBT).
Time allotted is 3hr 30 min.
The question paper shall be divided into 3 parts (Part A, B and C) each containing 50,
100, 150 MCQs respectively.
The examination comprises of 300 Multiple Choices, single correct response questions in
English language only.
Negative marking: There shall be 25% negative marking for incorrect answers No marks
will be deducted for unattempted questions.
