8. MAN A Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) is a computer network that spans a metropolitan area, such as a city or town. It connects multiple Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs) together, providing high-speed connectivity over a larger geographic area than a LAN, but smaller than a WAN.
MANs typically cover an area of around 50 kilometers (31 miles) in diameter and are often used by organizations that require high-speed connectivity across a city or metropolitan area. 10/17/2024 10
