Recommended SNF and Ration Beneficiary Specialized Nutritious (RUSF) Daily Ration (g) Monthly Ration (kg) Children 6-59 months Plumpy Sup (RUTF) 100 3.0 S uper Cereal Plus (200g/p/d) is an acceptable substitution in case RUSF is unavailable. Alternatively, RUTF can be used as an expanded criterion (1 sachet/p/d), but this is reserved for emergencies and should be approved by the UN agency/NGO that is distributing this commodity (i.e. UNICEF, ACF, etc.) prior to distribution.

Government led planning and implementation processes with support from WFP Strong cooperation with UNICEF, WHO and government ( MoH /Primary Health Care Department) WFP and BSPHCDA will sign a MOU, initially for 12 months, with possible extension/renewal The MoU will spell out roles and responsibilities of WFP and the SPHCDA. Implemented in government health facilities and by government staff (Joint WFP, Unicef and government health facilities assessments on-going) Unicef (CNMs) and other NGOs support with community mobilization, active screening and referral TSFP implementation modality 8

Inconsistence and late reporting on monthly program achievements from government counterparts. Lack of reporting and monitoring tools at some health facilities. Lack of systematic drugs at some health facilities which could be linked to lack of MAM national guidelines. Late payment of staffs allowances and incentives to community volunteers, yet they work hard and this could negatively impact on program quality/demotivation. Inappropriate storage facilities at one health facility, food commodities are being stored in the laboratory. Some of thee health facilities are located far away that beneficiaries have to walk almost 2 hours, which is a serious protection issue.   Limited support supervision at some health facilities Lessons learnt from yobe tsfp
