Health Programme
A Health Programmeis series of planned actions or events that aim to improve health and
well being.
Example-School Health programme, Occupational Health Programme, Annual health
Screening
Goals:
Health Programmeaims to improve Public Health, reduces incidence of diseases and ensure
access to health care services to the population

Health Policy
Health policy is defined by WHO as the decisions, plans or actions that are
undertaken to achieve specific Health care goal within a society

NGO and Health Programmeof GOI
NGOs under National health program contributes the following two main Functions:
(i)Training the functionaries involved in the programme
(ii)Implement the Health programme components for public health care services.
