Nino Erkomaishvili
An international expert with over 30 years of experience in cultural heritage
management, environmental and social, governance, and large-scale
infrastructure project management. She has extensive experience in cultural
heritage assessments, including ESIA studies and the development of Cultural
Heritage Management Plans for diverse construction projects. A proven leader in
both public and private sectors, having held senior roles at JSC “Georgian State
Electrosystem” (2019-2025) and BP Georgia(2003-2019), where she directed
cultural heritage programs for mega-projects like the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline
and other pipeline construction projects.
She possesses deep expertise in applying international standards (World Bank, IFC,
EBRD, ADB) to manage environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA),
stakeholder engagement, and risk assessment and mitigation for complex
construction projects. As the Founder of Ltd., Locus-Advisory, she provides high-
level consultancy on all heritage issues and subjects including Heritage Impact
Assessments (HIA) and due diligence audits for a global clientele.
Her career is further distinguished by a strong academic foundation in
conservation science (the Centre of Archaeological Studies, Scientist-Conservator
and the Centre of Restoration of Architectural Heritage, Scientist–Conservator)
active membership in key international bodies (ICOMOS, ICOM, SAA), and a
lifelong commitment to capacity building and sustainable development within the
cultural heritage sector.
