STORY ELEMENTS COLLAGE

Instructions: The class will be divided into five groups. Each group needs to provide a large sheet of paper or poster board, scissors, glue/tape, and a selection of magazines, newspapers, or printed images. Group members will cut out images and words from the materials that represent or relate to characters, setting, plot, and theme. For example, they can find pictures of people for characters, landscapes for settings, action scenes for plot, and symbols for themes.

Instructions: Each group must be creative and think outside the box when selecting their images. After completing their collages, each group will present their work to the class. They will explain why they chose specific images for each story element and how these elements interconnect within their collage.
