Definition “ The nosodes are some Homoeopathic preparations obtained from microbe cultures, from viruses, fungi, pathological secretions and excretions.

Classification of nosodes N-I – Preparations made from lysates of microorganisms capable of producing bacterial endotoxins E.g. Typhoidinum . N-II – Preparations made from microorganisms capable of producing exotoxin E.g. Diptherinum . N-III – Preparations made from purified toxins. N-IV – Preparations made from microorganisms / viruses / clinical materials from human convalescents or diseased subjects e.g. Variolinum , Psorinum .

medorrhinum / glinicum - purulent urethral discharge of acte gonorrhoea

Sypllinum / lueticum : from serosity of treponema pallidum in early or secondary stage

Tuberculinum - from culture of mycobacterium tuberculosis

Ambra grisea - secretion from the liver of sperm whale,extracted from the rectum of the whale ,found folating in the sea of madagasgar

Pyrogenum - prepared originally from decomposition of meatof beef

Variolinum - lysate obtained from serosity of small pox pustules

vaccinium-from the lymph of cowpox pustules

Bacillinum burnett - from sputum of tb patient containing the bacteria

  Diphtherinum - diphtheria toxin; diphtheric membranes of a patient .

Hippomanes - prepared from a sticky mucoid substance of urinous odour found in the amniotic fluid of the mare. It is also found attached to the membrane of the foetal organ of the mare in last month of pregnancy .

Hydrophobinum ( Lyssin )- lysate of saliva taken from a rabid dog.

Malandrinum - lysate from exudates of the horse malandra : discharge of eczema in the fold of the knee of horse.

Melitagrinum - nosode of Eczema capitis

Morbillinum - from exudate of mouth and pharynx of measles affected patients

Carcinosin Schirr -mammae- schhirus of mammae.

Agaricus muscarius - from entire fresh fungus found in dry pine wood

Secale cornutum - prepared from fungus Claviceps purpura growing upon the seeds of secale

Nectrianinum - nosode of Cancer of trees
