LASIKLASIK
Why Lasik? Why NVISION?

THE EYE DOCTORS’ #1
CHOICE
LASIK
Laser-Assisted In-Situ Keratomileusis is one of the most
frequently performed elective procedures in the US.
It is a highly effective effective outpatient procedure that is suitable
for most low, moderate and higher prescriptions.
LASIK uses a cool beam of light from the Excimer Laser to gently
reshape the front surface (cornea of your eye)

THE EYE DOCTORS’ #1
CHOICE
LASIK is a two step process
•Step 1 making the flap – Laser is safer
Microkeratome/blade All Laser
• Step 2 – Excimer laser re-shapes cornea

Wha t is Custom LASIK?LASIK?
•With custom (or Wavefront) LASIK, your eye's ability to
focus light rays is measured, and a 3-D map is created. The
map demonstrates irregularities in the way your eye
processes images.
•Information contained in the map guides the laser in
customizing the treatment to reshape your eye's
corneal surface so that these irregularities can be corrected.

THE EYE DOCTORS’ #1
CHOICE
Custom LASIK vs. Traditional LASIK
•Better quality of vision in dim lighting
•Increased chance of 20/20 vision
•High Definition Vision (HDTV vs. regular)
•Greater chance of achieving better than 20/20 vision
•Reduced chance of losing visual quality, contrast sensitivity,
night vision disturbances and glare.
