WHAT CAUSES SElF OBJECTIFICATION?
Thisobjectificationoccurs in two areas:
•(1) interpersonal or social encounters, and
•(2) media exposure.
“Interpersonal or social encounters include
catcalls, checking out/ staring at, or gazing
at women's bodies, sexual comments, and
harassment”.
