2. Introduction Stress which is related to work is labeled as occupational stress . Whenever we talk about the occupational stress then we realized that it occurs due to the discrepancy between job demands and resources . Like all other occupations occupational stress is common in the field of IT. This study has been designed to explore the occupational stress among IT professionals and its impacts on their self-esteem.

3. The software developers are most commonly stressed due to their hectic and tough routine, extra duty hours, lack of interest in their job or the financial issues . Fast growing field ( Maudgalya , T., Wallace, S., Daraiseh , N., & Salem, S, 2006)
