The common problems encountered in the development of occupational health service include: Lack of awareness among workers, employers, health planners, policy makers, health professionals and public at large. Lack of trained human resource. Inadequate, inaccessible, and inequitably distributed health service institutions. Lack of multidisciplinary staff, absence of field-testing equipment for conducting environmental and biological monitoring of the work place and the health of the workers.
