Dear Miss Alshami

I am delighted to inform you that your deferral request for MA International And
Comparative Legal Studies Full Time 1 Year has been approved and will be rolled
over to the 2015/16 academic year.

We will be issuing official 2015/16 offer letters from November 2014. You will receive an
email notification once your offer is published online.

In the meantime do keep the following in mind:
• If your 2014 offer letter was conditional, you will need to satisfy the condition(s)
stipulated in your original offer letter before we will issue your deferred offer letter for
2015 entry. Please forward evidence to show that you have fulfilled any conditions as
soon as you can.
• If you have provided IELTS / TOEFL certificates, please note that;
• extension of a previous assessment will not be automatically granted since the
evidence already submitted may not reflect your level of English at the start of
the 2015/16 academic year. You may have to submit updated English results if
the date of your certificate is over two years old. For September 2015 entry the
test should be dated after 1st September 2013.
• TOEFL tests taken after 17 April 2014 are no longer acceptable for visa
purposes. If you require a tier-4 student visa to study in the UK, you will need to
resubmit an IELTS or Pearson language test for 2015 entry.

• If you have been issued a CAS number for visa purposes, this will be withdrawn by
the School. You will need to apply for a new CAS from April 2015 onwards.

• We can only consider one deferral per application. If you subsequently find that you
are unable to enrol the 2015/16 academic year but are still interested in studying at
SOAS, you will need to submit a fresh application for the next session.
Please keep us informed of any changes to your correspondence and/or email
addresses. If you need to write to us about your application, please include your name
and Application ID Number as it appears in this letter, together with the title of the
programme as it is given above. This will help us to deal with your query more quickly.

We look forward to welcoming you in the 2015/16 academic year.

Best Wishes

David Atkins
