ACCREDITATION
Marshall University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central
Association. The professional education unit is accredited by the National Council for
Accreditation of Teacher Education. Education personnel preparation programs are approved by
the West Virginia Board of Education. The College of Business is accredited by the AACSB
International. Marshall also is a member of the Council of Graduate Schools in the United
States. Academic credits earned at Marshall University are fully standardized for acceptance by
all other colleges and universities. The School of Medicine is accredited by the Liaison
Committee on Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the Association of
Medical Colleges. In addition, many of the colleges and academic programs are fully accredited
by their individual accrediting agencies. Please refer to the University Catalog for further
details.
