Art 1: One Point Perspective These are the instructions to the one point perspective mini-lesson. There are some examples of projects done with 1 point perspective following the instructions so you can see where we are going with this project. Here is a short video on 1 point perspective: https ://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=bjhkxFDvD78
Art 1: One Point Perspective STEPS: Get a piece of 12x18 drawing paper (it should be on the cutting board) Plot a vanishing point (the top center works well) Draw the face of an object (a square, circle, triangle, rectangle, block letter, etc.) Identify the corners of your object and draw them to the vanishing point. Do not draw lines that would pass through the face of the object. Draw the back lines of the object and erase the unneeded lines. No objects should go all the way to the vanishing point. Repeat the process for 25 objects floating in space. At least 5 of the 25 must overlap or underlap other objects. Determine a spot for the light source and use colored pencils to shade the objects according to that light source. Finish the objects with a fine point sharpie and a straight edge.
