What’s ATypical Meeting Like?
•Secure a single venue-do not move around
•Preferably a reasonably nice restaurant with a
separate room for up to 50 people. AV-equip?
•Select a “slow day” for the restaurant and have
them waive the room charge. Mondays?
•Be consistent in the scheduling of the meeting,
“Every second Monday of the Month?
•Be consistent with the start-time.
•Make finding & remembering easy.

•A typical meeting will be as follows:
•1700h: Networking
•1745h: Opening
•Remarks from the President & Society Business
•Sponsor comments? If there is sponsor, allow 15m
•The Sponsor should directly pay venue.
•1800h: Guest Speaker, Q&A, Open Discussion
•1900h: Networking
•2000h: Conclusion

•Leverage the Operational Excellence Society LI

•Also collaborate with other OpExSocietyChapters
•Solicit and Approve Speakers in Advance.
•Critically important to have three-months booked
•Obtain abstracts for proposed talks. No sales-
pitches allowed –but “soft promotion” is.
•Chapter Advisory Board reviews, approves, and
schedules speakers. Allow time to promote.
