This presentation guides you through the installation of Oracle 11g Express Edition on Windows.

1. Navigate to the link

2. Choose the Operating System

3. Log in to your Oracle account or Sign up if you don’t have one

4. Extract the zipped folder containing the setup

5. Locate the setup file & make sure to Run it as administrator

6. Accept the terms

7. It’s recommend to keep the destination as is

8. Provide a password & make sure to remember it

9. And install...

10. You’re likely to encounter this error upon opening the shortcut!

11. To fix, navigate to the shortcut’s target location shown in the address bar above & find the shortcut Get_Started

12. Open its properties & change the %HTTPPORT% to 8080

13. Open the link to see the GUI version in the browser & go to Application Express to set the connection

14. Use the default username sys or system & provide your password

15. After setting up the connection, create a workspace

16. And, we’re in!
