4. Character List Othello: was a christian moor and general of the armies of venice. respected by the other. Desdemona: othello's wife and a daughter of venetian senator Brabanzio. I ago: the villain of the play, has been passed over for promotion to lieutenant. Casio: Othello's lieutenant. a young and inexperienced soldier.

5. The Plot othello was a noble military general that respected by the others because he has succeeded in many battlefield. he has a wife who was killed by him because of jealousy provoked by I ago. at t he end, he killed himself. it is a tragedy play.

6. T H E M E Jealousy Othello was easy to tricked by I ago. I ago was determined to take revenge on Othello because there was a rumour that Othello has slept with his wife so he got jealous by that. Besides, the one who got promoted as a lieutenant was Casio not him. so, he used Casio to provoke Othello that his wife was cheating and Othello was really mad at her.

9. THE ENDING After Othello murdered Desdemona, Emilia found about I ago's treachery by information from Casio and a letter from Rodrigo's pocket. Iago then killed her because he was affraid she would reveal his scheme. He was prisoned because of this. Othello then killed himself after he knew the truth about his suspicions to Desdemona.
