Since 2015 and as part of our leadership enhancement initiatives, SEAMEO RIHED has pursued capacity building for universities in the countries of Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS), including Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam: With support of the Asian Development Bank , SEAMEO RIHED implemented the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Human Resource Development Strategic Framework and Action Plan (Phase 2): To improve cooperation and networking of higher education institutions  To foster higher education harmonization within the GMS countries and beyond  SEAMEO RIHED implemented Phase I of the Project on Support for the Capacity Building of the Greater Mekong Subregion University Consortium (GMS-UC), funded by the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund : In the areas of leadership and management, teaching, research, internationalization and cross-border education, To support the harmonisation of the higher education systems and a Common Space of Higher Education in Southeast Asia. 2015-2017 2018-2019 SEAMEO RIHED’s LEADERSHIP ENHANCEMENT INNITIATIVES

Researchers’ Exchange Programme for Horizon Southeast Asia: Pushing the Frontiers of Research and Sustainability: Thematic Area 1 on Climate Change Tentative Date November 2022 Duration 4 days/5 nights

Objectives Researchers nominated by targeted universities of the Project will undertake a period of research exchange to another partner university; Partner researchers will exchange knowledge and expertise , as well as enhance each other's research capacity , in terms of resources and available research facilities for future continuation of cooperation while working together towards specific research subject/project under the thematic area 1 on Climate Change; Visiting researchers will explore how to expand and deepen research networks at the host university and others in the country; The output of the collaboration would be the joint publications or manuscripts at the Final Virtual Research Networking Forum of the Thematic Area 1 on Climate Change.
